Been apart of this forum for awhile and I know it doesn't have the activity it used to but figured I'd document my build just because.

Goals are A 128 trap with the new build on a sbe 302.

    Truck:
    89 Ranger- "the sheepdog"

Truck started out as a n/a explorer 100kmi pull out long block and an e cam. It went 13.46 at 101 n/a with a stick for like 3 years. Last year i custom made/adapted some procharger stuff and ran a p1sc. It went 12.001 at 118 on 9 psi.

    Last years setup:
    Explorer long block
    E cam
    80lb injectors and 340 pump
    P1sc
    Innovative west od crank pulley
    3 inch intercooler piping
    Fmic
Cooling mist water meth base kit, single nozzle.
    Tremec 3550
    8.8 28 spline with 373s
Microsquirt with efi source plug and play
    Srd assassin bars

    New build:
    Vs racing 7665
    Log manifold
    Cartech upper
    Strange 10 ways up front
Swapping to a short bed frame from a long bed
(Hoping to switch to an auto too at some point)

    Future:
Sbe 351 with some pro comps I have sitting at home.

    Pics/video:

Have tons more videos, dyno pulls, and burnout shenanigans I will upload too I am sure.

I will be updating with pics and info for my own keep safe. Maybe some will follow along. Cheers

I make 20 or so passes a year down there. Only 3 last year with the procharger setup.

It made 424whp on 9 psi and I pulled it for for 12 or so and had belt slip. After 600 in pulleys and having to do belts every other week I was over it. On to turbo junk.

Got the old header off and log welded up/ test fit tonight. Still have to weld on the wastegate, make the cross over, and downpipe. May also have to modify the t4 flange.

    Thanks!

I'd like to have it finished up in a week or 2. Then as I'm driving it I'll pull it apart on a weekend for the gears, brakes, coilovers, and small stuff on different weeekends.

    Badass little truck!

So you are turboing the 302 and the 351 is for the near future, sounds like win to me, stock headed 302? searching for splitting power I would suppose?

    Keep us posted!

Yes the plan is send this poor little motor for all it's worth for the season as I assemble a 351. It's an explorer long block, cam, springs, and new rings/bearings. It's been in the truck for years. Last year it mad okay power on 12 psi with the procharger but he lack of torque and belt slip issues left a lot to be desired.

So we shall see. Hoping to have the engine back assembled and ready for fire this week

Got the rest of the stuff off for the procharger stuff to get sold, and picked up the rest of the upper intake swap.

Better run a about 10 mph faster or it's getting slit trying lol.

Slowly picking at it today got the intake off in favor of the cartech upper.

Downpipe is finished and awaiting some header wrap.

Looking good, not much longer now. Nice looking f150. I spy traction bars. Do you run it as well?

Thanks it's getting there. And the f150 is a daily, has a catback that's it. Let the girlfriend race it. Runs 14.40 with her not understanding the brake boosting launch ha ha. It's a tremor edition so rcsb with an ecoboost. Fun daily tuned should go pretty quick, its hefty at 5250lb. It's also 4wd ..... ny winters.
