SBC 381cu, help with cam selection for a 75mm/t6 1.08.

    im getting to ready to start puttin my motor together, ive havent decided about a cam selection, i want to use my 75mm turbo t6 1.08ar, my heads flow over 305 at 700 lift, 1.6int ,1.5 exhaus RR,my bore is 4.155 bore with 18.44 invert i forgat to say this is a blowthru build using a th400 ,rear gears ??? havent back ther yet, what is a good cam to start with????? thanks!!!

    Should call a custom cam company like bullet, mike jones, cammotion, etc.

    I assume with heads like that you'd want a solid roller to get lift up? Or could you do a hyd roller? How much rpm do you want to turn and how much power? Single 75mm you probably dont need to turn alot of rpm... 6000 rpm peak or so should match that well. For hydraulic roller i'd try something in the 230 deg duration range...single pattern perhaps. I got a 233/233 112 in my 401 with heads that flow 280cfm at .600 and turn around 6000 rpm shifts right now :) I havent had a good chance to dyno it to see where it peaks at.

    I have a Bullet SR in mine and it works well! i think....make that, I KNOW that that 1.08 AR will choke this motor. i would find a 1.32 with the big wheel.

    turbotbirds on here had a FI S480 with 1.10 and the motor ran out of steam at around 18psi...he only has 355"s

    I know ultradyne Harold :) My buddy runs one of his cams and it runs hard. I just mentioned a few names and couldnt think of any more off the top of my head at the time. Brain fart
