new hotside setup in 91 camaro running....

    got my "new" homemade hotside done, and "fresh" rebuilt 355 running...

    91 camaro
    355ci
    comp cams hyd. flat tappet, 218/[email protected] .462"/.455" 114lsa
    afr 195cc cnc'd 2.05/1.60 valves
    vic. jr / CSU750
    Turbonetics TC78 .96a/r
    jgs 50mm wg / 56mm bov
    msd boost retard/ pro billet dist.
    aeromotive a1000 etc.
    12x24x4" a2a intercooler
    innovate wideband

    th350
    4000ish stall(too much)
    3.23 minispool
    26" slick

    I plan to run the hot side pipes like that. What diameter is that pipe? I think i only cand fit a 2" pipe between the crossmember and the oil pan. Is not the same chassis but the front end is similar on my caprice. My only concern is the het from the pipe heating the oil too much in the oilpan. Good work there.

    it is 2 1/2" from each header and merges into the single 3" to the turbo.
    havent driven it with this setup yet, gotta jet up the carb alittle and get some bugs worked out with my shifter/cable... but seems to run pretty good.
    stock shortblock(minus cam, timing chain, oil pump)
    threw some new main and rod bearings in the motor, honed the cylinders and put in some stock replacement rings filed to .028" gap.....

    hope to post track times in about two weeks

    Nicely done....we love the TC units. Best little unit on the market so far.

    yes Jose, the TC78 is so far so good im happy with street manners and seems to be making good power, we'll find out when i bring it to the track...2 weeks or so.
    p.s. i bought the turbo form you :2thumbs:

    dude thats crazy i have almost the exact setup on my 89 iroc! although im running a turbonetics t72. i have a cell phone video posted on youtube of my engine. i dont know the link but if u type in turbo iroc it should come up. nice work man looks great. ive gone 11.66 @124 w 10 psi w a tremec 5speed and crap 1.9 60 ft theres potential there tho. oh mine is a 383 w afr220cc cnc heads 4 7 swap cam performer rpm intake and i recently uprgraded to a procharger hat and qft bt carb. cant wait to see how yours runs! im hopin for high 10s this year!
