I bought a pair of ebay gt45s for my 65 nova and they actually work pretty good.I replaced a single custom racing 88mm turbo with these 2 gt45s.The car ran faster at every boost number with the pair then it did with the single.Last season with the single it took roughly 12 psi to get a 5.7 in the 1/8th.At the same boost level with the twin gt45s it would do a 5.5.It for some reason has more boost on the transbrake with the duals as well.With the duals it got very aggressive on the launches and have to make chassis adjustments to keep it manageable..

Yeh I felt it hit the bumper pretty hard and was alittle concened I have to admit.Im trying things to get it manageable and will have it where it should be come spring.I was fine until I went from 10psi to 12psi and it hit the tires alittle harder than normal.Im used to getting it up alittle but not quite that far up

engine is a 8 to 1 compression 496.Hydraulic cam.This pass is about 12psi

this engine combo is as mild as you can get.It literally sounds like my truck with the small cam.I have it at 12psi currently and car weighs 3000 with me in it.I built it as a low rpm engine and it leaves line at 3800 and I shift at 5600-5800

 

That's cool. I'm turbocharging my buddy Chevy 2 also with twin gt45's but his is a 18* 421.

I honestly don't even remember which vendor I got them from.I just bought another pair for a Chevelle im building and they where like 320 for the pair.They are the same thing as whats on the nova.I believe all the gt45s on ebay are the same.Mine are the 69/1.05s and from looking on ebay most of them are in this size.Some of the vindors will have different hp ratings for them but think the sizes are consistent

 

As long as they have the 69mm (68.9) compressor, and the 87/77 turbine wheel I believe they're the same. There are some sellers listing smaller turbos as gt45s as well, so just look at the specs before ordering.

that is very interesting setup.I have never see the blowoff valve like that.Your carb hat is very nice as well.I love seeing things like this it adds to the whole builds process.Wish you the best on your build and would love to hear about it when your done
