Picked up a pair of afr 1006 enforcer heads for my tpi project, as well as a first performance tpi intake. Was thinking about the zz4 cam, or cc503, these heads will drop the L98 scr about a point, and the first tpi should allow it to make power from idle to 6000. Making it all more pump gas friendly, but now I need a cam the heads flow 254@500, [email protected], and start to drop off around.600 lift. They are set up with 8017 springs, afr says hrc with up to 230 duration and .600 lift kind of leaning towards the zz4 cam with 1.6 rocker arms. Do you sbc guys have a "go to" hydraulic roller that just works with a 3300-3800 pound car 3.42 gears 350-355 short block 9.0-9.5:1 scr and 4-9 psi? I'm not chasing a number as much as I am chasing oe like drivability and quiet valve train, good off b boost throttle response etc. Stock bottom end, so nothing to crazy. And really not interested in saving 300 bucks playing with a flat tappet cam.
Stepped nose oe style hydraulic roller is what I'm looking for. Zz4, hot cam, etc. See my tpi possibilities thread for more info on project direction please
