Well my new combo will consist of dart shp sbf 9.8-1 427ci with bullet hydraulic roller, my tfs and of course my FITECH fuel injection. I'm looking for 900-1000rwhp and so with my goals in mind is there anything to be gained going with an s488 over an s480? Both obviously have same 96mm exhaust wheel and I all ready have a 1.58ar housing on the way to build my new down pipe. Do you guys think the s480 will be sufficient for my goals especially with a 1.58 ar housing?

I'm well over that power with any of my engines using an S400 82 mm inducer turbine through full exhaust. My 347 with Chinese heads is over that, a 363 with 205CNC is over that, and so is a 363 with Fox lake heads. All are solid roller cams. All heads are ported.

My BW 82mm turbo is making about 50-60 psi backpressure on a 363, so the 363 maxes it out.

I made 1000+ with a Precision 7675CEA and it would spool almost instantly. It ran 5.30's at over 130 in a 3200 lb car through mufflers. The BW is noticeably faster and quicker but also has much hotter compressed air at the same boost.

I'm building a 434 and my turbo guru said I need a minimum of an Gen2 85mm ProMod, and preferably an 88. I don't know much about turbos yet so I have to take his word. You should make a ton of power with a 96.
