I really want to do turbo but cannot afford 6000 for turbo. I was happy when I saw that PONY DOWN came with single turbo kit for 2500 and B&G with 3500. I will like to get which ever is best but seems like no one is using this kit so I don't want to be the guinea pig. Hellion turbo kit looks really good but the 6000 price is way out of my hand.

PONY DOWN and B&G turbo kiit are not smog legal , my car is DD so what do you guys suggest I should do ? Can i out cats on them ?

If nothing works then I may have to settle with vortech supercharger .

Who you talking about

 

turbo = headaches. Vortech = smog legal. The kits I've seen for your year that are emissions legal are very expensive.

Is the 1st line of mods a cam part #?

If it is and it's not smog legal it doesn't matter what the rest of the combo is. That's if the car has to take it up the tailpipe once a year. It probably will not pass due to the cam and not the turbo. Around here the inspectors just scratch their heads but if it passes the sniffer test then it's all They could care less.

 

Visual test! and even the most retarded tech knows a turbo when they see one, or the lack of and emissions gear,.

 

Yeah is Comp Cams XE 270 AH cams with comp cams valve springs. My car pass smog , they just told me I had slow idle I was like but I pass.
If I get turbo then I just need to get some one to weld cats to make smog legal ?

 

No , because you will still fail the visual as soon as they see the turbo. Unless.......................you have a friend at smog station

 

O I C.. damn dude I want turbo so bad you don't even know. I just have to get supercharger I guess

One thing I like to ask is why supercharger are smog legal and turbos not ?

 

Just make friends with a crooked inspector, cause I don't know of a kit that has a carb sticker yet.

 

not all states do a visual inspection here they just use the sniffer and your on your way.

Thinking of selling my stang now , and buy 2010 mustang will have ecoboost 3.5 L V6 Twin Turbo when it's comes out.
