Looks like a 1.50 A/R turbine. Any way to find exact specs for it? `

The turbine should be a 1.22 ar. Looks like they've had a tough life. I see the same seller has listings for other turbos, and they all look like that. If you don't mind the condition they're in, I see no reason not to.

    I found this.
    BorgWarner S200SX TURBO . 56mm C/W, Recirc/High Flow C/C, .1.22 A/R. - Compact, high-flow S200SX model with recirculation-type compressor cover
    - 56/76mm, Extended Tip compressor wheel, with peak flow of 60lb/min.
    - ompact, .47A/R compressor cover, with 4" inlet, 2" hose-outlet, and equipped with recirculation design for broad, efficient flow.
    - 70/61mm, highly-responsive turbine wheel, cast in Inconel.
    - 1.22A/R, 'T4', twin-scroll turbine housing. Optional housings of .83/.91/1.00/1.09/1.15A/R available

Ben, I don't know if you've seen the compressor map for these, but it's a very nice map for lowish boost. Basically peaking at a 2.5 pressure ratio and 55 lb/min.

I haven't seen the map for the 56mm, I assumed that since the 57mm airwerks were good fit these would do ok.

The seller claims the units are NOS, maybe stored in a damp area, I don't think that would bother anything. The pictures he has with the background crudely chopped out don't instill a lot of confidence.

I think they are worth a shot for my application, even if I had to buy housings later on I would still be a little ahead of buying new s257s with housings.

Ordered, I guess I will know what there is to know in a few days, all except for running them. If they are nasty I will return them, if they are decent I will clean them up, Cerakote the exhaust housings and figure out what else I am going to need to run them.

:corn: why are they using pics of old turbos to sell new ones? Curious to see what shows up!

They arrived today, measured out as expected. Some surface rust and earth present, I am assuming they may have been in a flood. Wheels spin freely, I'll spend more time with them later, but they are genuine s256 units. 15986630935215301940165322806375.jpg #ad

Those look decent man, they will clean up nicely! Hopefully the internals are fine, looks like a score to me....

I am nervous about anything that might have gotten into the center section, so I'll disassemble, clean and inspect before running them. The Knicks and dings match the rest of my possessions and don't bother me.
