For those people still running a stock cam in your motor, please answer the pole.

What would be a good off the shelf cam for a Turbo car. I know many people have good luck with the stock cam, and I ran the FRPP E303 before but I sold that. Any ideas???

The only place that I've even seen off the shelf turbos cams for the 5.0 is Ultradyne. They had 2, one for low boost ap's and on for high boost ap's. I don't have any experience with either.

So far the F-303 has made 710 RWHP and 834 RWTQ in my car with a 302. So for the price too, it and/or the E-303 cams are hard to overlook.

so your saying that the F-Cam will work better than the cam i have now? ISKY cam (544/573)(280/290) 112 center lobe.

What would be better? a F-Cam or getting a custome grind?

No, I'm not saying that at all. The thread says "What is a good off the shelf turbo cam".

Your cam MAY be even better but there's guys that have cammotion and other supposedly turbo specific cams and I am making equivalent HP to their customs sticks. I don't know anything other than my own R&D to share on the E-303 and F-303 cams.

I am running an F303 and I love it. No idle/drivability issues, great gas mileage, and I'm making tons of power for the parts (or lack of) I have. My motor is completely stock cobra except the cam and arp head bolts, and has over 150,000 miles on it. My dyno #'s are over a year old, most likely I'm making more power now.

    (Woohoo! 500 posts! I'm now a T64)

Im sorrey.. But the reason why i was askin is because i will be getting a single turbo kit and i wanted to know if the F-cam will be enough for my setup. that way i wont have to spend 300 on a custome grind. and i will make a good amount of HP/TRQ.

will an F-cam be good with my setup to hit 10's with a T-72 turbo?

    Thanx.

With the parts listed in your signature and that boost level with a T-72, I'd say at least 680-700 RWHP and 750-800 RWTQ range.

You'd hit tens easily with the F-303 and even a stock cam has been mid tens before.

    Good luck with it, Brent.
