Does anyone have any experiance with the Chinese T88 turbo ?

Are those hp numbers real ?
I am looking for a single budget turbo to mount under my bed of my truck with a build 496ci, 9.5-1, aluminum heads and rollercam.
I am using a Edelbrock Proflo 2 mpfi btw.

I am looking for 800 ish hp.

 

The turbine wheel is way to small for a motor that large IMHO.

 

Should be advertised as a 63 mm turbo...

 

Yea if the specs they listed are correct that is smaller than the chinese gt45. VSRacing's 76mm gt45 is $499 and will support 800hp, but the turbine is still going to be small for a 496, even mounted remotely (https://www.theturboforums.com/threads/370894-GT45-76mm-80mm-and-88mm-turbos-restocked-again). Twin 69mm GT45's might work alright, but I dont know of any cheap chinese single that has a large enough turbine for that many ci's.

Went for a GT45 80mm from VS racing with the possebilty to grow in the future to twins.

Best idea is to get a used one from a forum member for around the same price as a new cheap one. Then theres also more help as to what you are getting into. I'm going through the same thing learning about turbo sizes and have had a lot of help reading here, even picked up a nice Holset HX40 for cheaper than a Chinese knock-off.
