i have a forged 370, 10to1 compression with a 23x/23x cam. i have the oppurtunity to buy two 64mm turbos for a good price but they are 1.00 ar. will these spool at all on a 370?

this is all the info i have:
    Compressor trim: .70 ar
    Compressor Wheel diameter: 66.71 /84.20
    Turbine wheel diameter : 63.56 /73.60
    Exhaust trim: 1.00ar
    Turbine flange type: T4 flange
    I was thinking of these or a T6 s480 1.32 ar. looking for 800rwhp+

transmission will be either a 700r4 or th350, gearing will be 3.08.

scrap the 700r4 idea with 800+rwhp....if you already have it built, sell it and get some money out if before you blow it up and then its worth pennies.

thats a good point, the only builder that i know of is rossler that can build them to last. Would anyone know how quickly the s480 would spool?

unfortunately the builder won't make a difference in power holding capacity, no matter who it is. The inherent weakness of the 700r4 is in its design so unless rossler or whoever else have their own totally redesigned 700r4 that elimates all the factory weaknesses which would entail a totally redesigned case and a bunch of other stuff, dont waste your momey. I crack up laughing when i see some 700r4 ads for holding 850+hp.....our level 10, superman kryptonited, billet, heated treated beast blah blah :D

I'd look into smaller A/R exhaust housings if you want earlier boost. 1.0 A/R is pretty big. I've got .85's on mine.

thats what i was thinking. if it was a 400+ cubic motor i think it would be fine.

Turbos should be fine but agreed with the housings being bit large. 1.0 a/r is gonna delay boost. .68-.8x would be good I think. I had twin T4 Ptrim 60mm compressors on my 401" sbc and its made 690whp on way rich conservative tune, thru way to loose 5500 stall in a TH400 on a mustang dyno :) Traps 140-141 on 650whp on same dyno with less boost... The 64mm turbos will get it done on your motor
