Newbie Question Turbo Size. Ford 302

    Here is my combo. My goal is to run tens With this combo. I have a 79 foxbody with no rear seat and a decent amount of weight dropped. Slicks and skinnies on it. Here is the engine combo. Is this turbo I bought big enough to push me tens at 12psi? Everything else is ready just have to bolt uop the turbo and tune it with my aem uego.

    79 stock bottom end.
    69 351 heads
    Edelbrock perfomer Rpm intake
    Edelbrock performer Rpm cam
    underdrive pullys
    Holley 700 modified by me.

    Here is the turbo in question.....

    3.0" INLET,2.5'' OUTLET.
    COMPRESSOR:70 AR;EXDUCER:74.23MM; INDUCER:56.69MM.

    TURBINE : 68 AR; EXDUCER:61.91MM; INDUCER:69.28MM

    COOLING TYPE: OIL COOLED ONLY.

    T4 TURBO FLANGE, 4 BOLT DOWNPIPE FLANGE

    The turbo is a little bit small for your application. I recommend at least a 62-1 or anything up to about 70mm.

    I do plan on upgrading eventually... but do you think this turbo could possible net me a 10.80? thats all im looknig for. lol. Also long as it will still work. haha only gonig to run 12 pounds on the stock shortblock

    I have a friend who has about the same turbo, full weight car though, but with Victor Jr's and he runs 10's all day long, turbo is on a small side though, he start loosing power at just around 5,500 rpms. Good Luck! :2thumbs:

    So the turbo is on the small side? But will pull till about 5500. Should i go with 3.08 or 3.27?

    I would go with 3.27, 3.08s are pretty long.

    got a lead on a set of mark williams 3.31. Going to go with them.

    It is on the small side, yeah. But my buddy's car pulls nice to like 6,500 rpms, just on the dyno sheet You can see it dropin after 5,500.
    As far as gears, those 3.31's should do the job
