Hello everyone I am new to the turbo world. I recently got a steal on a turbo kit for my 93 5.0. The kit I bought came with a Turbonetics T3 TN400. The specs are

    Compressor wheel HP E-50 compressor inlet/outlet 3.0" / 2.0" Turbine wheel F1-57 turbine housing T3 0.65 A/R

I got the kit for $1000 to include an intercooler 3.5 inch turbo back exhaust woth dynomax turbo muffler, bov, & wastegate. My car is a h/c/i car already, so am going to hate back pressure issues with this turbo? I have seen some posts with guys running MP T70s and wasn't sure if thats the route I should go and just sell my turbo and buy a differnet turbo and an adapter flange. All helpp is greatky appreciated. I also found a precision t4 6068 fpr sale on corral, is that worth getting or would I be in the same boat? I attacked pictures of my turbo kit. I am deployed overseas so all this pictures were taken by my buddy and his wife.

I don't think you'll be happy with that turbo on something with a H/C/I. You will want something with a larger turbine. What are your goals?

You might be dealing with HG issues if you run stock heads if you don't break that engine in half in the process. You'd either need a 351w or aftermarket block. Some people have engines that live at a high power level while others don't. 500 at the crank is about the limit. I'm runnin a 70/.68 on my 91 stock block engine & it spools up by 2500 or so.

Those TF heads will help you from blowin HGs as long as your tune is right. Splitting the block in half is a whole other issue that really can't be fixed without replacing the block. You could put all the girdles you want on the block & it will still part ways. If you keep it at 500 at the crank & 6k rpms the engine should stay together.

X's two. My buddy just cracked two cylinders at 425rwhp. His tune had him at 11.9:1 AFR and I think that's a bit lean on pump gas considering how inconsistent it is. PS: Your turbo is all packaged up and ready to go.
