new BOSS 302 block (pics)

    how much HP will they hold up to ?

    has any1 bought one, if so did they require alot of machine work ?

    1500HP, depends on RPM also... they require machining of the lifter bosses

    mine come ir this morning and i took it to the machine shop. it did not require that. 1st thing they checked while i was there.
    i am suppost to get it back tomorrow.i will put it all together friday.

    If you are going to use the stock lifter dog bones and spiders then you are going to have to ahve the top of the lifter bores machined.

    i will be running a solid roller....THEY DO REQUIRE SPECIAL CAM BEARINGS IN THIS BLOCK found that out today when the machine shop went to put some in..i should have read the instuctions..the instructions also no machineing is requiered on the lifter bosses.
    the old R block had to have that though.

    The Ford Dart blocks do as well

    i ordered the dart bearings $60 compared to motorsport $125.

    Dang I never priced the Motorsport bearings, but DANG they are proud of them.

    Wrong.

    They made a running revision (another) roughly 2 months ago.
