This is Turbomerc's car, he's being a lazy jerk about starting a build thread, so I'm going to start one for him. That's what you get for leaving your shit laying around where I have access to it.

    Here's the beast

The drivetrain consists of a well used 289, C4 and a rear axle that can has only been described as "Vintage?" We're currently reverse butchering the chinese turbo kit and fabri-cobbling the rest of the mess together. We'll probably use one of the 6162's off the S10, and the current project is the carb, I believe that's just about ready to go back together. It ought to one wheel peel really nicely. Here's a few more pictures.

I'm sure someone will keep this thread a little updated, we're hoping to make a race on June 4, we're not stressing out about it, but that's the plan...

Looks interesting. I am considering a similar approach on a 302 in a '71 F100. Did you have to change the hot side piping in order for it to fit between the frame rails? I'm assuming this is a kit for a mustang? My frame rails are 29" apart and didn't know if one of these kits would clear everything.

Nortex, we've had to alter every part of the hotside. It was a cheap kit I found on Amazon, for a fox mustang. If I knew then what I know now I would've made my own or bought a better kit to start from.

Thanks man! I don't know if it'll blow the doors off anyone but we will see what happens. If anything it'll do rowdy burnouts.

3/16" drill bit and I cant remember the line size off the top of my head, it was a left over bit of the nickel/copper brake line you can get at NAPA. Im assuming the OD was 3/16, but I've been known to be wrong.

Got the carb all put together on Saturday. Only a few things left to do, alternator brackets, radiator needs to be installed, and battery box needs to be mounted. I've got a buddy who is much more wire savvy finishing up the MSD, and a/f. Really hoping it will be running by this next Saturday.

We're taking to an event here in town on June 4th, as soon as I get a run in I'll post the outcome. But before then keep an eye out for a few street runs and some burnouts.

I'm gonna get it before anyone else has the chance, You're gonna want to lower those vent tube extensions a little so they're right in the air stream. See? I help.
