With the right suspension set up - it will go 8's... To save money - just weld a t6 flange on that t4 hotside - worked fine for me to add a turbonetics Y2K....

You will have to brace that S400 - it is a heavy SOB....

The original plan was to do exactly that, however I like the design of B&G T6 driver side setup. Looks like I'm gonna need a little more funding for this new build and will part out or sell old combo. I'm temped to bolt everything on my 1992 GT with 80,000 miles and DD it, but probably gonna need that $$$.

Here are some pictures I took after I've cleaned up a lot of the casting flash in the heads. I was surprise to see sooo much material left in the intake runner and exhaust. I did not reshape the runners in anyway, just removed globs of metal slag and rough spots.

What fuel are you going to be running? What compression will your new motor be at? I have a similar motor combo..bit more race only oriented. I'm at 11.5:1 with a set of custom diamond pistons in my big bore 347 running E85. My old 8.5:1 338 with a stock S475 went 8.8's at 153 @3300# on E85. A S480 should easily meet your goals.

Motor's compression is going to be 9:1 and running race gas. Your old combo is right where I would like to be at when i'm done.

Nice build, I'm also running a s480 but on a t4, been 8.7@157, you will be in the 8s easily.

    Updates:

Short block is done and a slight change in cubes. Engine builder order the custom diamond pistons for a 3.400 stroke, so crank was switched and now motor is a 363ci. Decided to mini tub and 25.5 the car. Chassis work is in progress and will post pics as the build goes.

Finally had some time to finish cutting the stock tubs out. Next is boxing the frame rails and welding in the mini tubs.
