Seeing as you are running over 500 cubes and those restrictive heads along with a huge cam in a 6000 lb car ,,, I would recommend.........................................................................................

I was hoping you would break down the engine a little more like what compression and so on. Nobody in their right mind will suggest anything without knowing exactly what you have.

its like pulling teeth with you man. there is a ton of different choices based on several variables of an engine combination.

Or if you're wanting to go cheap, the new trend is borg warner s400 turbos. 1 of those should get you there 700-800 hp and be peppy to spool up with 450+ cubes.

Henrik, could you please give us as many specific details as possible about your car and engine. So far, we know the cubes (454 BBC), compression (8:1), max RPM (6200), and it's street and strip. Also, his HP goals are modest at 700-800 with twins on a BBC. I would think the GT40 turbines would be restrictive on that many cubes. Maybe a pair of GT4202's.

True, but the link to his LOCAL turbo shop was was not American. It appeared Dutch, but I don't know exactly.

 

Was thinking pair of T4 T70's if 700-800whp is all is needed. Dont need to go to 6200 rpm either, that will definately be a max rpm. Probably make that power at 5500rpm without to much trouble

the demon blow through carbs work for some and do not work for others. The main problems being a lean condition under boost. Their customer service and quality control is garbage. Your are better off building your own (see http://www.hangar18fabrication.com/blowthru.html ) or buying one from Brent Davis, CSU or CSC.

As far a cam, go with something mild on a 114 lobe separation angle.

If you are set on twins, I'd do MPt-70s, they are inexpensive and work well and will make way more than 800 hp and will have good spoolup characteristics with the smaller .68 hotside.
