hello guys a see some nice cars in the turbo threads that are fast. i have a new turbo and i was trying to see what i should expect out of my combo e.t and hp wise. i did not make any clean passes with the other turbo i just think it was to large for my engine rpm range and combo


sbc 406 9.5-1 comp dart shp block all forged
630 roller cam 114 cam motion
iron rhs 235 heads mild port work
turbo 400 trans ptc 3500 with brake
3.55 gears
28x10.5 slicks
c and s blow thru carb 110 race gas with 3 nozzle water meth no intercooler

car is around 34-3500 lbs

turbo is a 88mm with a 1.39 a/r t6 housing
the comp side is 95ind 83exd for the first few pulls and dyno i will run 18lbs of boost

i undestand that no one can be exact but im just looking for your honest input

 

I would say it has 5.3x potential. Gonna depend on how hard it will leave.

 

I agree, but strong emphasis on the word potential. Should break into the 5s pretty easily.

I would say 900+ HP to the rear wheels (@18lbs) and be in the mid 5's in the 1/8.

this 383 made 1150 flw on 18lbs wondering whats holding me back from the 1000 rwhp mark

 

Are you wanting to do dyno competitions or something? Unless you are, don't worry about it. IMO, trap speed vs. weight is more accurate than most dynos anyway.
