I figured I would post up pics of my basicly finished build. My setup consists of:

Engine:
301ci. 4v
Ported B heads
Ford GT camshafts

Trans:
4r70w w/ transbrake
Presison industries 4200 multi disk converter

Turbo kit:
Borg Warner S400(thanks Dave at Majestic for the great price)
Turbocharged innovation headers
2.5" stanless crossover
4" downpipe with dynomax muffler
Tial 44mm wastegate
Tial 50mm blowoff
Ebay intercooler
3" aluminum charge piping

Electronics:
FAST sequential with edis8
Proset LS1 coil driver box
LS1 coils

Fuel system:
twin 225 pumps in tank
Weldon regualtor
96lb injectors


This being my first turbo kit build, I must say that reading this board has been alot of help. Earlier this year the car had a T-trim on it and was constantly braking blower belts. So I pretty much decided that it had to have a turbo on it to help with reliability. The car ran a best of 9.61 with the blower on it and I am hopeing the turbo will pick the car up some. I started the build back in mid
August and would have been done sooner but the FAST box has been a real pain to get working properly. I have had to send it back twice allready and may have to again , but hopfully they will get it right. The box appears to be close enuff that I am going to try and dyno the car this comming week and get it to the track, so I will post dyno number later. Anyone want to take some guesses? I will be running around 28lbs of boost.

I know that I do somewhere. I will post some up when I find them. It pretty much looks like a stock 98 Cobra Conv. though.

 

Nice looking build. Did you run that 9.61 with those 17s on the back? (I'm assuming they're 17s by looking at them )

Thanks. I have a set of Prostars with 275 bfg's on them for the track. The car is really just a street car though thus the 17" drag radials. Actualy the car has no roll bar or cage of any sort, bacicly go to the track and get one or two shots at it and get to go home early .

 

The car is running but not really tuned as of yet, so no video yet. Actualy I don't even have a way to take video much less know how to post it.

I have about $4500 in the turbo setup total. I will go through my invoices and see what the exact total was. I know I have well over $1000 just in pipe.

 

Is the S400 you got just the standard one from Dave@Majestic??? Also, when is that turbo all in at???
I'm guessin somewhere between 4-4500 rpm.

It is the standard S400 from Dave. I am going to have the compressor wheel changed out at some point though. I am not sure on spool up yet because FAST can not seem to figure out how to make the box work right. I have had to send it back 3 times already and they have not fixed it yet. We have came to the conclusion that they have a firmware issue but getting them to fix it is not that easy. I would guess the spool up will be around 4000rpm.

Nothing yet. I am thinking I will know somthing tomorrow and maybee have the box back on wednessday, if I am lucky.
