Hi guys I'm Steve and my project is a 1989 Plymouth voyages se turbo which came with a factory turbo 2.5l sohc 4cyl non intercooled. There supposed to have made 150hp/180tq from the factory. So far i have upgraded from the tiny factory mitsu tdo4-13c turbo to a turbonetics to4e-54 trim t3/t4 with a f1-57 turbine wheel in a .63 ar housing. The compressor wheel is the same as a gt3076 and has the ceramic ball bearing option. It's adapted to a ported high nickel content Shelby vnt turbo manifold (holds up to the heat better) which then goes to a Shelby 2.5" swingvalve and then a full 3" downpipe and exhaust only has a resonator sounds like a diesel truck. On the intake side I have lightly ported the in manifold and have fitted a 52mm throttle body (stock 46mm) as well as a set of 550cc evo injectors and a kenne bell adjustable fuel press reg ment for a Buick gn. In the tank is a fueltech 340lph high press pump pushing thru upgraded 3/8 fuel line (5/16 stock). Up front I have an apexi deltaflow intercooler with all 2.5" charge pipes and a forge open bov. Inside the engine is rebuilt .040 over with Mahle pistons (been run to nearly 30psi) and forged turbo2 con rods. On top is a direct connection ported big valve ghead that has beehive springs with ls1 retainers (lost 29grams off every spring and retainer) +1mm valves both in and ex as well as an 88 tbi cam (has more duration) the trans is stock with 2 huge coolers. I'm hoping to go to a water to air intercooler this year and run 12's in the quarter.

    And finished

    102_3223-300x225.jpg #ad

I did a 3076, TU camshaft, head gasket, studs, megasquirt ecu I built, water meth, real exhuast, lowered it, two step and boost builder, yadda yadda.
I would change a few things if I did it over again.
When I was done it made 276 if i remember right at about 28 pounds. I ran one weekend at the track and got into the high, high twelves. Dumb fun.

I think I used a 2.5 valve. And yeah, I found an old mopar .63 exhaust side for the 3076. It worked ok, Was pretty lazy to light the turbo but with the auto it wasn't bad, you just staged first, lol.

I'm looking for a mopar .63 also. I tune everything with an ostrich 2.0 and mptune. A 3" atp swingvalve is on the list as well. I have a crane 460 lift slider cam similar to the super 60 cam I met put in also but I like the roller followers.

I never messed with the factory managment. i jumped strait to a MS. I wanted meth control, 2 step ect. I have ostrich but never even knew prom tuning was a thing for these.
The mopar housing was the start of the whole thing. I had a buddy give one to me and that literaly sent me looking for a turbo van to build. I ended up buying this one from my father in law. He is the guy that owns poly bushings.com and his best friend chris is the dude that owns TU, so I had an "in" when it came to those things.

That thing is great. Turbo over Pergo!!!!!!

This thread made me feel a bit nostalgic so I looked up some of the old dyno pulls and whatnot from my van and i was wrong earlier. It made 268fwhp not 276.

Awesome I'm hoping the flow of this ported, +1 valved, g head will help pull harder on the top end everyone says the beehive springs are worth 500 rpm. I'm also working on an omni project. It will be getting a van a413 and 2.5 with a bunch of other goodies

This is actually my girls car. It was Johny Spiva's for many years. It was an absolute terror in autocross around here 15 years ago.

When we got it from him the motor was dead so its getting a simple rebuild with decent forged pistons and a new cam.
