noisy tach signal (digital 7)

    Im outputing my tach signal from my digital 7 (7530T) to my megasquirt. It is extreamly noisy. my datalogs will show 500-800rpm spikes or wander. anyone else have any problems?

    What distributor etc are you running?
    May have to use sheathed cable?

    msd pro billet dist. and im using a shielded cable... i tried put a resistor in line to smooth also tried a cap nothing has worked.
