Today I tried tuning the car with the LM1. Right now the fuel psi is set at 50 vaccum off, timing set at 16* locked out, on 93 pump gas. On idle the car runs dead on 14.7 AFR. Rolling into the throttle the AFR goes more lean instead of rich. I didn't floor it yet because I don't want to break anything. I also checked the spark plugs and they are very lean!!!!!! What do you think the problem could be? Shouldn't the car be running pig rich with this set up?

    Here's the build:

Is the car still mass air? If so, you may either be maxing out the meter. If it is mass air, you might also try rotating or moving the MAF.

As far as plugs, you can't really get a reliable reading on a short hit. You're best off reading a fresh set of plugs after a pass where you've spent at least few seconds under load in high gear.

check to make sure the fuel pressure isn't dropping off as you accelerate.... consuming the fuel or check for clogged fuel filter.
brandon... always start with the basics... just a gas powered air pump

Your AFR's will constantly adjust while in closed loop. Readings can swing from rich to lean as the computer trys to compensate in an attempt to reach stoich. Reading the plugs wont really help either as it's quite safe to run somewhat lean while not under load. You wont know what's really going on until you go into open loop which will require going WOT (or close to it).

Another thing to keep in mind is'¦unless you have a way to compensate your tune for the fuel pressure change, the computer will eventually (if not already) alter the fuel tables in an attempt to reach stoich while in closed loop. The open loop tables are based directly off of the closed tables'¦so that uber high fuel pressure will ultimately end up doing nothing for ya. Actually, it will worsen idle quality as the injector pulse width drops because more fuel will be flowing through the injectors at idle
