How do you go about determining what the main and rod clearances should be for high rpm usage? Is there a rule of thumb? Do you use the manufacturer's recommended spec and then adjust it for the increased rpm? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Talked to a friend who builds a lot of stuff locally and he doesn't adjust the clearance at all for high rpm useage. Says he's had no issues.
