My question is will the car gain anything going to these? They are still a t3 exhaust housing, so would the exhaust back pressure be the same between the 2?

I'd have to think the T3 flange is way out matched at that point.

interesting, I would bet the t3 flange is maxed out also.

We can speculate all week long and not come up with anything. Phone calls are cheap and I'd give Brian Bissonette a call and pick his brain. If it can be done he'll tell you. If it can't he'll tell you that too. Tell him what you've got going on and see what he says. He custom built me a pair of 60mm billets (T3/T4) that will handle 1000hp "without breathing hard" but I'm only running a 4.6.

I can't give any solid info one way or the other, but the addition of the better heads is only going to make the t3 more of a restriction. I personally wouldn't put t3's on 383 cubes with a good head.

Depends on the T3 housing and exh wheel used. The T3 diesel housings can be huge and house a pretty large turbine wheel. Alot of the china turbos randomly attach an AR sizing to a housing and have no idea what they are selling. The china 72/68 I just picked up is listed as having a T3 .84 housing. I'm not buying that...is a big bastard.

This is my 16cm T3 Holset HX40 housing next to a .70 AR T4. (the T3 is the big one) Each are made to accept the same exh wheel. Which do you believe would be less restrictive?
