boost issue in 4v swap GT

    long story short
    checked boost leak in cold side... no leak
    21psi of vac. at idle.. so no leak in motor
    went from 9psi to 5psi over night
    car has a 5psi spring in wastegate, swapped wastegates with same result ( so not wastegate)

    is it possible for the boost controller to just go bad? i have a cheap ebay turn knob one on it.
    any input would be helpful

    how do you check for boost leaks?

    Yes thats how we tested it... took it to 20psi without issue and no leaks plus held it for 5min without leak

    could you just run a hose from the turbo to the w/g and try that?

    if everything looks good
    test a different boost controler <can you rig something up just to test?>
