Guys we're building a Cobra Kit car with a 351 and a pair of 58mm turbos. Currently we're trying to set the base timing and phaze in the rotor on the Dist. We believe we have it correct but we're having one major problem.

When we first start the car and it's idling there is very little timing in it. Up to appox 1800rpm it stays at 12 degrees even though the spark table shows it should have 32 at that point. 12 degrees btw is the amount of timing the first box on the lower left of the table has in it.

We've gone over the instructions several times and can't figure out what we're missing. Anyone have a clue where we should look?

Anyone local to Chicago that's willing to help out?

There is an idle timing table that will affect your timing at idle only. Try checking your timing at someting other than idle.
Where is the floating ball on the timing table? Is your map sensor working correctly?
