Cold side piping question

    I'm building my cold side from mandrel bent exahust pipe. The question I have is about beads on the pipe for holding the silicone hoses on.

    Could I weld 4 1" long beads on the outside of the pipe to prevent the clamp from slipping off under boost.

    The clamp would be making the seal the beads would be holding it all together.
