How much power will a single 105mm throttle body support? Looking at a 632 BBC / 18 degree heads with twin Pro Mod 88's. Want to make around 2500 HP which I know is easy with the combo, but will it need dual throttle bodies or will a single 105mm work?

    Thanks

Since a turbo does not increase the cfm through the throttle body you always size the throttle body to the engine only (naturally asperated). How much power you make after that will not change the throttle body requirements. This means we need to know how much the engine will make N/A or the max rpm it will be spun.

I forgot to mention above that my statements assume the throttle body is after the turbo.

Engine will make 1000-1100hp N/A and see no more than 8000 rpm

    632cid X 8000rpm X .9VE / 3456 = 1317cfm

Looks like the 105mm is rated around 1500cfm so your good.

The only other thing to take into account is the square area of the throttle body. The 105 will work, but you may have troubles with cylinder to cylinder distribution because of the "coloumn" of air being forced through a small cross sectional area. If you are doing a tunnel ram with a pent roof top, it may not show as bad as a elbow and cast manifold where the center four cylinders**WILL** be hot... Evan

The 105 Wilson unit is good for 1520cfm and that was the same NA calc I had done.

The intake is a 2x4 carb unit with a plenum that will be fabbed on the top, with a 105.

    Should work.

    Thanks everyone
