rack to hold water tank/fuel/battery box in mustang hatch

    So I want to build a rack to hold my 5 gallon water tank, 5 gall cell, and my battery box in my 87 hatch. Would a aluminum rack be ok? or should I stay steel? I thought the alu would be a tad lighter. Also how would I go about bolting the rack into the car. Do I need to run a all thread throught the frame rails at 4 piomts or is there an easier way?
