so i have a garrett turbo... seems no one knows what it is. Talked to Garrett and they tell me all their turbos have a hand scribed number on the cold inlet side... can't find anything... any suggestions how i can figure out what i actually have?

    heres what i know:

    4 bolt exhaust flange
    an oil fitting

    says a/r .60 M24 L B (sideways) Garrett "G-80?" on the cold side

not sure what i would need to measure to determine size

not sure what to look for to determine if its good or bad (looks new)

    any help appreciated thanks

Post a couple pics, and measure the end of the wheels that you can see, or pull both housings, and measure both the big, and small diameters of both wheels.

It looks to be a t3/to4e hybrid. With the measurements given it could be a few different models/trims. The small end diameters will narrow it down.

thanks, measuring as far away from the center plate between the hot and cold side at the edges of the impellers on 2 opposite vanes:

    hot side: 55.81mm
    cold side: 56.35mm

The numbers don't match exactly, but sometimes it's tough to get an accurate measurement. I'm going to say its a t3/t04e, 57 trim compressor, and stage 3 turbine.... pretty common turbo.

2 on a 4.6 would be a decent fit. They're older tech, but still a good turbo.... most of the Ebay t3t4's are copied from them yet.
