Changing to single turbo gt55 and instead of running a 5" down pipe, the car has existing dual exhaust. Would the exhaust flow less if I made a Y pipe from 5" to dual 3"? In order to retain existing exhaust on the car out the back. Rather not run a 5" fender exit.

Has anyone made a 5" Y to two 3"? If so any pictures?

    Just use area of circle
    dual 3" = 2 (π 1.5) =14.14
    Single 5 = π 2.5=19.63

So not equivalent, 3.5" gets you pretty close. Just run the 5" back however far you can, the gasses will cool and contract requiring less tubing size.
