I have a Garrett T04B turbo that fits the IH DT402 engine & I want to fit it to my IH D358 engine unfortunately the turbine housing isn't really suitable as I would like bolt type flange elbow for the exhaust to exit the original hole in the bonnet. As I haven't any experience with turbos & diffrent build applications can any one tell me part number of a suitable turbine housing is it worth fitting smaller turbine housing as not after massive power upgrade @30%. Thank you

 

Those turbos use the a/r to determine boost. Going to a smaller housing will raise your boost, if that isn't what you want then stay at the same a/r.

The ih turbos had the elbow pressed into the housing, just like yours. And they were really compact. That won't work?

 

Thank you for the reply, as I am keeping the exhaust exiting through the original bonnet opening I have to move the turbo to the left & make a tight 90° exit on the turbo. The IH 1455 the turbo fits has a completely diffrent bonnet set up. The other option is to machine an insert and thread studs into the housing
