Garrett Electric Turbochargers Headed To Production In 2021

    Notice how thick the frickin wires are on that. Assuming 4AWG to the battery (135A chassis rating) you're talking 2ish HP. While that's not a huge amount it's enough to get the wheel moving. Based on there being 3 wires I'm guessing it's a brushless 3 phase electric motor. Naturally there's gonna be some decently sophisticated electronics around this. It almost certainly will be tied into an ECU.

    The other question is how big of a compressor this will come with.
