I have a 6.0L in my 88 coupe. The tc78 is out of breath and its time for an upgrade. I was looking to either get a s475 or s480. Space won't be to big of an issue because I'm redesigning my kit based off truck manifolds. My specs are:
6.0l ly6 short block with ARP bolts
    Stock 317 heads
Brian tooley springs and shims .660.
    Tick perf spec cam. .619/.598 23x/23x/ on a 112
    Holley mid rise. 92mm body
    Th350 3200 FTI converter.
3:31 gear with a 275/60/15. My car is a 95% street car. So I quick spool is preferred. I was thinking a t6 1.1) housing would be better than the 1.32. Lmk your opinions and advice

    Thanks in advance.

By 1.10, you're thinking the 83mm turbine? Personally with your cam, and converter I wouldn't go smaller than the 96mm 1.32 a/r. I think you will run into back pressure issues with the 83mm, and the 96mm suits your combo better. You also didn't post a goal, but a 75mm compressor should make more than enough for street use.

There are also 87, and 92mm turbine options, but are more money than the 83, or 96mm, but I still like the 1.32 for the price.

I can pick up a s475 local for 600. It has the 1.32 housing and 75mm compressor and 88mmturbine. I'm looking for 700+ rwhp.

The S400's with a 1.32 T6 housing will get you the 96mm exhaust wheel. The standard S475 will support 800+ rwhp...I made that with one on my old sbf 338.

Did Tick actually spec that cam for a tc78?

For clarity, a 96mm wheel is the same as an 88mm wheel. It's 96 inducer/88 exducer. It was only available for years with the 1.32a/r housing but smaller ones are now available. These are unique in the s400 lineup in that the flange on the turbo where the turbine bolts to is larger than the 83, 87, and 92 units. It can be machined to work but that doesn't need to be done anymore.

No the cam was spec'd for a larger turbo. He said the tu1 cam wasn't even optimal for my combo.

I have real good results with my s480/ 92mm/1.1a/r on my 6.0. turbine housing is a special Forced Inductions piece.
I am confident there is enough left in it to get my 3500lb car into the 8's

I already have all 2.5 stainless piping. I'll start another build/rebuild thread

I used 2.5 Ss piping with my s480 with the 1.10 housing and 92 mm turbine and have been very pleased with the results so far on my little 5.3 motor. Appropriate cam and stall go a long ways.
