I've probably read a few thousand pages of build forums off this site so I'm pretty excited to be a member, and finally be able to post my own build.

I'm new to the site so sorry if it takes a bit to figure things out.

The build 2010 Camaro 2SS RS that I bought about 4 months ago is getting a S480 Turbo that I had left over from my last project

I'm really happy with how the hot side is turning out. The headers are all finish welded now. I'm going to finish the merge on monday. I love the look of stainless so it sucks knowing that everything is going to have to be ceramic coated and a lot of it wrapped. There is just to much to melt in this engine bay to leave it as is. I have two 40mm turbosmart wastegates to fit and this car will have a 5 inch down pipe then 5 inch oval to the rear axle and split from there. Also next week I hope to start making room up front for the treadstone intercooler 12.5x4.5x30 should be fun I'll get more pics soon.

Yes and not having to worry about melted plastic everywhere is very appealing.

I did have to give up AC to make this build work, but the old compressor location is where the down pipe will go and keeping the condenser was not an option.

Are you going to front exit your downpipe? What injectors? Nice job on the hot side.

No I'm going to have a 5 inch 90 then go to 5 inch oval to fit between the frame and the block, then once i cleared the block the 5inch oval will transition to 5inch oval laying flat for ground clearance. I hope to get all the way to the rear axle before splitting it to dual 3 or dual 3.5 here is a pic of the exhaust layout on a 5th gen to show the room I have. IMG_1708.JPG #ad

So what are you going to do about the intake being super heated by the exhaust?

The exhaust will be rapped and I might do some sort of heat shield. With the amount of airflow going through that pipe I doubt it will pick up more then a few degrees in that short stretch. I'm up for ideas I still need to decide on wastegate placement too.

The headers are stainless works up and forward turbo headers and surprisingly the plugs, are rather easy to get to.
The part of this build that I'm not really looking forward for is relocating the abs and the junction block. I should have more to show tonight.

For anyone that want to run these headers on a 5th gen they will fit but you have to clearance the headers for the power steering pump and relocate the abs and junction block.

Starting to run out of room. I will have 6" of room for the radiator and fan and most of the ideas I have for wastegates cut that space down even more. Has anyone had any experience with remote mount wastegates for example having about 18" of pipe off the hot side before the gates. Thanks in advance
