caltrac bars??

    anybody use the style traction bars and if so how do they work for you??

    My brother uses them on his '72 Nova that runs 6.30 in the 1\8. I think he has done a 1.51 sixty foot.

    He was running slapper bars before and it would unload a few feet out because of the wrap of the leaf springs.

    They provide great tech help if you need it.

    I've had pretty good sucess with Cal Tracs on some customers cars. Even better on the market now are the Max TraX from SmithRacecraft. I am a dealer for them also. I am doubly impressed with their quality and features over the Cal tracs.

    Looks like they make those Max Trax bars for Chebbie's only. Even more pricey than the Cal-Tracs, too, but maybe a little more adjustable.

    I helped crew on an old style 55 Chevy/370/Jerico/Olds reared
    bracket car.It will click the 60s with the rear tires it goes
    10.30s on 11.5x29.5x15s and Caltracs.When he was learning
    the CTs it picked the fronts up around 5 ft out past the 60s.
