Hi guys Great site! I have a 2000 V6 base, with essentially a 96 Cobra engine swapped in. I have been on the site all day and I can;t seen to find a straight answer as to which JY turbos would be a good match for a 4.6 DOHC Single system. I know that an HX35 is too small. Please help search not doing much for me. Thanks

Oh yeah, I forgot, There is a Turbo from a newer Ford F-350 on ebay right now. I know it has a variable vane center section, but I can't find any specs anywhere for it. Anyone know if this is big enough? It is for the 6.0 v8.

the ps turbo from a 7.3 works good on my 5.0
i would think the 6.0 one would be too small
search for single setups, a t70 would be what i would buy

The big question is how much power are you looking for? The HX35 works great on 5.0's and similar if you are not looking for more than 500hp (flywheel). Also I believe the Holset HX35 is larger than the Garrett GTP37 that they put on the Powerstroke 7.3.

Well I was reading that HX35's and HY35's are way too small for a v8. Many guys with 3.8's are running HX35's and they seem to be well sized for that engine. There is a guy on ebay trying to sell me a .60 a/r cold .70 a/r hot turbo off his supra and he says it will be good for my car. I just want to run 7-10 psi on the stock internals with anAEM EMS.

The hx 35 will work, If you have the balls to run 12+ psi on a stock block. I dont. Forget about an hy 35, the turbine is way to small.

I dont really want to run that kind of boost. The factory powdered metal rods are not up to that much power. I am going to start out with 8 psi. I was looking at the compressor map of the HX35 and it seriously looks way too small for the 4.6. I must be nuts.

He has a 96 Cobra engine, not the usual 2V blow-em-up shit. For the most part, let 'er rip.
