anyone ever made a "DIY" bumpsteer kit?

    anyone ever made a "DIY" bumpsteer kit?

    $150 is retarded money for what the kit actually is. can i order some heim joints out of a nascar catalog and just use some bolts and washers to get this to work?
    my steering geometry is seriouly f'd up but so is my bank account :\
    i don't mind having to drill out my spindles so i don't have to use a tapered stud.
    anyone happen to know the thread pitch for a flaming river manual rack? or the size of the hole in the spindles for the tie rod end?

    The better kits (like Steeda) are machined to accept the tapered stock spindle, so you don't have to drill it out straight. Seems better and safer.

    Early kits, you just drilled it out straight and used a long bolt with spacers.... woul dbe easy to make.
