hello folks I am just wondering if this turbo would be a good match for a 347ci(stock block)http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GODZILLA...d=100005&prg=1088&rk=2&rkt=5&sd=190840778355&
I worked out running about 6 psi up to about 5500rpm, it would have a pressure ratio of about 1.4 and would need about 40lbs a minute flow iv googled t76 and had a look at a few compressor maps and my numbers make it looks rite about 70% efficient, but I don't know jack shit about turbos p trim q trim ect ect this is my first turbo set up and don't want to grenade the engine lol, engine is cast scat 347 kit, patriot185 heads, rpm11, comp xe282hr, and about 10to 1 comp, want to make about 450 to 470 rwhp. cheers

    all opinions welcome

That's a P-trim turbine wheel, and will choke up on a 347. Guys run P-trim and Q-trim T72 and T76s on 3.0L Supras a lot, and you are twice that big.

Seems big enough the turbine seems the issue..Compression is on the high side too..
    E85 would be interesting ??
T66 to T70.. Not that advertised power figures can be taken seriously..

I just want to do an ebay special and it seems as all the ebay t76 have the same 74.5mm 64.5mm(im guessing that is p trim)

Yes that is a p trim. Your cam, and compression ratio are far from ideal (especially with a 5500 rpm limit) A 68, or 76mm ebay gt45 would be a much better choice. With good intercooling, e85, or meth you can work with the compression ratio, but I would think about swapping the cam...... although at 450-470hp your block will be on borrowed time.

n/a I rev her too 6250rpm all day, but we all know 5.0 blocks are real weak, so im trying to be conservative maybe even 5000rpm ,right now she makes her peak hp at 5800rpm and peak torque at 3800, iv got a spare 5.0 short, could swap over and some afr 185comps and victor efi for when I build a dart based combo.
and I don't want to go e85 or meth injection just wanna run pump .

You may squeak by with pump on 6psi, with a good tune, and a decent sized turbine, but the cam, and a p trim are horrible choices for a setup like that imo.

with a good tune and keeping your rpms below 6k, you'll get some life outta the stock block vs hammering it to 6k plus

That is the same turbo many here have run, and have had great luck with. The turbine is much better suited to your combo.

That turbo is the one in the Denmah kit from VSRacing that has put many many cars in the 10s and 9s.

so I scored this cam tonight with some other engine stuff I brought of a associate (286,286,216,216, 115lsa.505".505) will it work better than the XE282HR.?

Im running the same turbo on my junk box. Mine works just fine on the street and the track. I would assume your 347 would spool a lot better on the street than my stock little 4.6 . It should make all the power your motor will handle and be a pretty fun little setup.
