SUMPED TANK

    WHAT IS A SUMPED FUEL TANK???

    notice the box on the bottom of the tank....

    but what does it do? Does it let all the gas be in the back/bottom of tank?

    yeah, the gas is right where that outlet is, so when you are on the gas, the fuel is right there. Some cheaper setups will have issues when you hit the brakes though.

    So a sumped tank isn't baffled or is it? and what models cut out when you hit the brakes? I want the best one i can get!

    Depends on what you buy. Glennsperformance sells really nice units with baffles.

    You can sump your own tank. I sumped mine on my 03' Cobra and placed buffles in mine. Seems to be working nice so far :2thumbs:

    Wild rides sells a weld in piece very reasonable. not a great fit though.

    i just did mine today, about an hour of hammering on the anvil and bending on the brake, and it fits great :doh:

    I'll vouch for Glenn as well, I bought my street sleeper tank from him, and it was perfect, no problesm wahtsoever, and that pic of that garage is glenns shop www.glennsperformance.com

    screw sumped tanks.

    i had a 1979 car... that i was converting to carb.

    SO--- I drilled through the bottom of a 5.0 EFI tank INTO the stock EFI baffel and installed a $10 AN10 fuel cell fitting. I also installed a AN-6 fuel cell fitting in the top of the tank as a return shooting back into the baffel. No problems - easy install! :2thumbs:
