i am building my first turbo car and i already have alot of parts
but the more i read about this turbo and that one i get a litle confused on what i need .


i have a 306 mexican block
pro topline heads
h-beam rods and steel crank
i m going to order small base circle cam for my combo hydraulic roller
victor jr intake
750 holley for blow through
1 5/8 headers
mallory 110 fi fuel pump with boost refrenced regulator
i wont to shift around 6500-7000 rpm
i want to make around 700 rwhp
i will be running on a 26x8.5 slick
any suggestions on turbo
or the rest of the combo would be apreciated thanks.

What compressor maps have you looked at??

 

A MasterPower T70 will get your 700rwhp cheaply. That is getting close to maxing that turbo out though...

 

I think thqat anything close to that kind of power will make your block into a puzzle if you really want to make 700rwhp you need to eith buy a good block or build a 69-74 351W I do not think any production 302 block will handle much more than if any 500rwhp with a goodt tune and no detonation but good luck trying. I am going to try and push the package of my 69 351W to 850rw but my noty make it we'll see

People are running that kind of power with Mexican blocks.

They are still much less certain to hold up than a Dark block though...
