We all know drive pressure is useful on a diesel but the soot is NOT.
Has there been any attempts to build a drive pressure particle trap?

    Add more air
Soot is just the excess fuel or incomplete burn..

I'm building it for the dirty trucks too. A lot of trucks still produce soot before the turbos spool as well.
Another thing is it should trap moisture as well.
I want it clean enough to use with our bovs and wastegates (piston / o-ring ).

Well, I whipped up a BUP (butt ugly prototype) today that I'll be testing on my truck. Here's a drawing of what it consists of right now.

Basically its a baffled 2 stage filter, the hope is a lot of the soot and even moisture will get trapped in the bottom. Starting with a 100ish micron screen and a 40 micron bronze filter ans see how long it lasts.

About $3 in consumable parts right now.
