I'm starting a build that has very limited room for a A/A cooler, and I have enough injector to go e85, so i'm wondering what guys are running for intank pumps these days. I have run e85 before, but its been awhile. Goal is 550ish to the tire, 5.3/th400, GT45, 80lb Dekas. I have a 255, and a Aem 320 here, but neither is rated for e85. Should I run what I have as a pair, or upgrade to a 450? Or something different? Is e85 enough, or should I look at meth as well?
    Thanks.

A standard gerotor gss walbro 255 actually works fine in e85, said to have 10-15% less pump life though. The regular aem 320 wont hold up too well though, they do make a "e" version of that pump. I run an aem-e 320 as my primary always on pump and the dccss 39/50 or walbro "450" as my second pump on a hobbs. Been running that setup for about 3 years now. No issues so far. As far as no the no intercooler cant help you there I run a large front mount with a 4" thick core.

Thanks Jeremy, after some more research, Aem doesn't recommend the 320 with anything over 50% ethanol, so with our typical E70 or less here i'm going to give it a shot as long as I have it. If, or when it fails, i'll step up to a 450.

sorry for late reply. I run a walbro 450 in one car and an external Boosted Solutions 380 (bosch 044 style) on another car. Both are fine and the 450 is e85 rated.
