megasquirt injector driver install

    I searched for a while trying to find something out there for a diypnp v-8 mustang with peak and hold injectors and couldnt find any writeups or anything related to a ford v-8. Matt Cramer has been a huge help to me to get things where I need them and figured I would do a writeup of my install.

    I used the proto area to hook up the 5v power from the main board regulator, and the logic injector signals.

    I used 2 wires for each bank for when I decide to add a crank pickup and do semi-sequential. if you never plan on doing sequential, you can jumper all 4 inputs together, since there is only one injector logic output per bank.

    All the injector grounds were hooked to the grounds header, as well as the board's ground.

    The injector outputs go to the adapter board on the same banks as if the injector driver boards weren't there.

    Theres lots of room inside to run the wires.

    Here's a pic of the underside, I used wires for the adapter board on both sides to minimize any crossover of wires

    The boards seemed a little weak while in the case, I soldered some wire on the mounting holes on the side of the board to join the 2 boards securely so they can't move apart.

    I thought the diy mspnp came capable of running low imp injectors already? I didn't know you had to add this to it to run them....

    the drivers on the board can run one low impedence, or 4 high impedence per bank. it isnt a peak and hold driver though.
    the mspnp 2 has built in peak and hold drivers, but its not a diy kit, all the components are surface mounted by machine on the pnp2.

    This is the big problem with MS. They need to redesign their website to compartmentalize stuff so that it's easier to get in your head which goes with what

    i thinking of buying these peak and hold drivers but matt cramer said they get pretty hot so they would not be good to put them in the same case. are you having any trouble with heat?

    I havent ran it yet, I tried to get it to start with a base tune and it flooded out a cylinder and hydrolocked it. Im kind of scared to use it now. Ill try again sometime this year to get it working.

    I'm planning on going with a megasquirt 3 with MS extra card so I can run sequential. right now I have the megasquirt 1and I'm pretty sure that you can buy the MS 3 daughter boardand stick it in the MS one box and then buy the extra large case to fit all that stuff in there.that would be very convenient to put all the Peak and hold injector drivers inside there also.if I don't buy the peak and hold injector driversfrom JB performance I'll end up going with the versa fueler or the AEM peak and hold driver.

    yes i see that i think all the upgrades i need will be around $360 between the daughter board, msx board and larger case.is that all i would need?

    Not sure I am not to familiar with mega squirt. Was gonna go that route once upon time but found a cheaper ecu. I do plan on reading there manual one of these days just for the knowledge.

    I'm new to this too. I just bought the ms3 for my 88 with twin turbos an 72 mm throttle body an upper lower gt 40 intake. An I have it programmed to start an run but when I build up boost it goes strait lean an dies out. What can I do to get it to deliver fuel while in full boost? Any help or comparable tuner studio down load s would be helpful. Thank big Al

    I have the 3 bar map sensor that came with my kit.it was 475$- for my kit i bought.
