342 ingredients

    i forget what was needed to run a 342 stroker, is it just notching the block, and using 5.4 rods and standard piston size?

    need to know since im gonna build the sucka myself

    Notch the block, if you're planning on building a street car, go with the 5.315 inch rods and the pistons for those rods in 4.00in diameter. You can run 5.4 rods but the oil ring will intersect the wrist pin and cause oil control problems. I went with the probe 5.315 rods and pistons with the off set wrist pin for less wall wear. No problems to date.
