Have a 383 sbc on e85. Vs racing billet 80 with t6 housing. Compression is 9:1 and built for boost. I use a 2 step and can get 5# around 3200rpm. I would like to leave on a few more lbs of boost to help my heavy truck move. I hear some people throw lots of retard on the 2 step to help? Anyone have any experience with this? I have the msd 6530 box.

You are going to need more RPM . 3200 is nothing .

It’s 90% street truck so I don’t really want more stall.

Launch on a shot of N2O. Sam situation for me. Street TC,don't want a higher stall. A 100 shot knocked .75 sec of my ET.

i actually have a plate on the truck. What jetting did you use? Nitrous express wouldn’t give me a Reccomended tune up. I’ve heard on a turbo setup it almost doubles in actual hp.

Truck has Holley EFI for fuel, I installed a wet plate to make the tune easy. N2O on, full throttle at the tree, the Holley turns it off at 8psi boost...it's only on for .8 sec!

Did the same on an a turbo setup. 100 shot with a adjustable boost switch for a meth kit that had three connections so it could be used as open or closed. Armed the kit and used it to kill the relay ground when it reached 9 psi. It used about .3 lbs every pass. So the bottle lasts a long time.

    Nice looking truck there .

Yes , so is mine . I have a 383 sbc with the tightest 9.5" converter PTC makes . The stall will go up with boost . Its just how it works . More power and torque = higher stall .
If I had to guess , my converter stalls around 3200 . Hell , I tow a boat and see no higher temps than normal .

I had no issue spooling the S484 1.32/96 . At 4200rpm , it made 11 to 12 psi and that was with full timing .

    Just recently went to a S491 1.32/104 . It would only make 7psi at 4200 rpm .

Makes up to 16psi now with pulling timing on the brake , but pulling it gradually and pulling quite a bit .

FYI , the truck has been 1.24 to the sixty with the S484 leaving on 11psi and 4200 rpm .

    4600lb street truck .
