Hi, Im trying to run more boost than the wastegate spring will hold (from backpressure). I was thinking of running a weaker spring and running constant boost pressure to the top port and running boost pressure also the the bottom port with a bleed valve. Will this work consistently? Thanks

Get a manual boost controller and start turning up the knob.

^ What he said. Im running a 15 psi spring with a MBC on the side port. Im only running 20 psi now, but if ran all the way up to 30 psi on that spring.

What ever tbe first two fools stated for you is either wrong, stupid or incomplete. Here is the truth.

Side port is for the gate spring to know when to open via manifold pressure. That will allow it to open at its approximate spring pressure. you can place a manual boost controller that will bleed off manifold pressure to allow more bost to be made on the side port hose between the gate and manifold or boost source.

The top hole needs to remain unplugged at all times to allow it to vent air as the gate is opening and closing.
Only when you use a digital boost controller with co2 system involved do you use that top port. Similar to the ams1000 etc...

Hope that clears up the mess tweedle dee and tweetle dumb left behind for you to comprehend.

He was speaking 'stupid', so he got an answer that 'stupid' could understand. You should probably draw him a picture. Hard to give a complete answer with an incomplete question buddy..... As far as we know he doesnt even have a boost controller..... So we gave an answer based off his incomplete question. Congrats on being a douche though.

    You have no clue..

Is that the tech you offer? Shit on a platter? No effort just jackassory in response to what you may know but haven't a clue how to explain an answer to a few simple questions? He asked some question one would ask after having a running turbo car and wanting to up the antee. Seems perhaps your just in the dream stages of a hotrod?

He doesnt seem to know much about the subject buddy.... So i gave him a simple answer as did the other guy. Its as simple as that, hook up a manual boost controller... Pull vacuum from the side port and turn the fucking knob.... If you cant reach the boost you want then get a stiffer spring or get an electronic boost controller.... It can be explained in detail, but its a simple concept and i dont think he was looking for the science of it, he just wanted to know if his idea would work. And it wont.... No dreams over here buddy

This is a pointless conversation, so have fun.
