    Hi guys i have a
    Twin turbo ,Blowthrough setup
    Im not building boost!
    Eng. Vac is at 11-13

    As of now my
Turbos are connected to the wastegates via vacuum hose and the top opening of the wastegates are open! ( vent to air)

Further i have a vacuum block which main connection is to my manifold, below the carb.
    The vacuum block
Has 2x bowoffs , boostgauge hooked up.

    Today i heard i could/should
Cap off the turbo vac connector and run the wastegates to the manifold vacuum+ close the top wastegate (vent to air hole )
    To build boost.
    See pics

    What is it?
Where would the wastegates vent if the top hole is blocked. Should they vent at all or is the blowoffs taking care of it?

What kind of waste gates? Is the fire ring in the wastegate?

the top of the gate doesnt vent anything but it needs to be open. That port leads to the top of the diaphram inside. Its only used with a boost controller to make more boost than the spring installed in the gate. You have it plumbed properly. Some gates have more than one connection on the bottom of the gate. Make sure the extras are plugged or it wont control boost.

Now the big question is , are you trying to build boost just revving the engine, or going WOT driving down the road?

Well let me re phrase i think i have boost above 3.5k rpm
Wastegates seem to be plumbed correct.
I will connect the wastegates to manifold to have a more accurate reading after the IC.
    Then i can tell more...
Yes top is used with a boost controller thats how i know it too..
So would pluging it off do anything at all?
Would the wastegate vent into the downpipe then?

you dont want to plug it. It needs to be able to move air in and out or it will lock the diaphram from moving.
If the wastegate is working, it should bypass exhaust gas into the down pipe when it reaches the boost rating of the springs installed in the gate

Unhook and plug the wastegate lines. Then go for a nice easy drive and creep up on the RPM's. Don't just go out and flat foot it.

I'm still chasing the same problem.
I hooked up wastegate to manifold.

It sounds like blowby on the pass. Side only
    I remember the downpipe flanges.
And used gaskets and gasket sealant.
    Manifolds are tight.

    Vac is showing -13
And at round 3.5k rpm I'm at 0

Is it the tune? That don't let me get into boost?
    I'm really confused.

3500 with load, and some throttle, or just free rev? You need load. Most want the gates pre throttle blade (turbo is just fine) as they don't want the gate to see vacuum, although it will work either way. Pics and a run down of the setup would help a bunch. It could be your gates, bov(s), or even turbo sizing.

Just took a video and I'm shocked about what i found ...look at this..

Seems like driver side impeller is stuck.
(The turbo housing hose ports are open but that shouldn't impact it right?)

    Turbo bad?
    They cheap cxracings

no hose connections are gonna cause it to hang.
I would check that all the turbine and compressor housing bolts are tight and housing are sitting square to the center section.
If so. Pull the exhaust housing and compressor off one at a time a see if it spins free. Obviously if you get both removed at its still hanging then you got bit by the ching chang cheapy.

The passenger side sounds like you have a pretty good leak somewhere over there.

If I plug the hose connection to get wastegate reference at manifold it should spin?.
I think the leak is coming from the exhaust housing of the pas. Side turbo.

Yep, that turbo needs removed for inspection.

With the car off can you spin the impeller
By hand on the DS turbo ? I’m sure the PS turbo does . compare them. Most likely have to remove and inspect

Remove turbo for inspection, unless you have such a large pre turbo exhaust leak, that most exhaust is not making it to the turbo itself.
