I suspect the info is out buried there , but searching the forums didn't find it.

I have my hotside done for my T04B and putting a T-6sized monster in would require everything to be redone. So if I want more power in the future, what's the biggest T4-class turbo out there (biggest in HP, not in physical size)? Engine is a junkyard Chrysler 400, future desired flywheel HP level is 550-650 or so.

Here is a site I found, looks like the Master Power T6-series is T4-based?

A Master Power T76 Q trim should be more than enough for that power level, or a MP gt45.

Fast responses with info. Gotta love that. :2thumbs:

    Next question:
Where to find info about the physical size of the above-mentioned turbos? For the installation I have now, I can only go about 2" larger in housing diameter before I am too close to neighboring components.

PT 47-88 is bad but it is big and is heavy and in the first post he didn't want to go with a T6 based behemoth...

    It's a PT47-88... Not a GT47-88..

The PT47-88 is a Precision PT88 with it's T4 turbine housing.. But with a GT47-88 compressor wheel installed..

yeah I knew that PT was a typo and I know it is a T4 based unit - but doesn't it weigh 60 some lbs? In the orig post he wasn't looking for something so big that he would have to redo his system - [/chime off]

    Didn't Tuten run very low 8's with a 47-88 at 3300lbs?

I am not 100 % sure but the GT4788 is at least 60-70 lbs and the PT4788 is considerably lighter and smaller.. And the pt4788 is rated at 1400-1450hp IIRC... I am sure it is a bit heaver than a 76GTS or equivalent but worth adding a brace :welder:

Forced Inductions has a 91mm, that uses the same T4 exhaust housing as the pt88. I agree the master T76 should be fine for 650 fwhp but the Q wheel is a little small for 400CI. Something with a 80+mm exh wheel will breath better. My 370 with the Tc76, 68mm exh wheel(similar to the Q) makes decent power but runs out of breath after 5500RPM.
