Big stuff 3 questions!

    Hi everyone. Well long story short im looking too get rid of the factory computer and get a big stuff 3 setup. Has anyone figured out how too get the factory cluster too stay working with big stuff running there car. If anyone could help that would be great!

    Yes its not hard to do. It is however time consuming. Find the wiring manual for the car and have at it.

    3 times so far- 2 on a cobra 1 on a mach

    you didn't have any problems with the signals getting interference ?

    only one to worry about is crank signal.

    done it many time
    you need to run the stock ECU & use the OEM sensor for the cluster to work<you can delete everything else.
    the BS3 will run just fine

    so i can delete every wire too the computer except for the crank sensor and vss and my cluster will work?

    no
    I rewire the stock engine & transmission wire.
    I just left mthe sensors for the cluster to work<be carefull>

    so i don't need the factory computer i just need too splice the cluster into the correct wires from the bs3 unit?

    All my gages worked minus the tach. Instead of splicing into the crank sensor to get a tach signal (I've heard some people had problems that I didnt want to risk), I bought an autometer 2 1/2" digital tach with built-in shift light and it was an easy 1 wire hookup from the BS3 and a ground...done. Put it on a gage pod on the steering column and IMO it looks good. Just an idea.

    You need to leave the factory ecu in the car if you want the factory gauges. The ecu takes the signal from the vss,crank signal,water temp and converts it and runs the gauges.

    so then i can delete every other wire that connects too the factory ecm... so i can clean up some of the wires under the dash and engine bay
